So this happened yesterday!!!

Last week, I sent a copy of Animal Crosszine to the Nintendo Treehouse - the team responsible for all of the localized games in the Animal Crossing series. And Rich Amtower tweeted about it!

So all of those nice people you see in those “Inside the Treehouse with Animal Crossing New Leaf” videos have probably seen the zine.

Animal Crosszine was designed from the start to be a love letter to the series and its creators and I’m glad that I was able to get a copy to them. More importantly, I’m glad they liked it. <3

This is the just the first part from Dan Zazzera’s three-page “Restless Rover” comic, which takes you through the anxieties and internal chastisement the cat suffers whenever he meets a new Animal Crossing player.

The comic is featured in the recently published and shipped Animal Crosszine. You can buy a digital copy right now, and physical editions will probably be available for sale again next week.

I carried these across several downtown blocks, on two city buses, and through my neighborhood. My everything is sore.
BUT the books look good! There’s a slight alignment issue with the inner and outer covers but overall, I am really pleased with how they turned out.
I’m taking a few copies with me to TCAF this weekend. If you preordered a copy, it will go out in the next week or two. The rest of the books will go up for sale around the same time as well. Keep checking back here for more updates.

Hi, friends!
You can now buy a digital copy of Animal Crosszine on Gumroad.
You can view the PDF on your computer or iPad (It looks pretty sharp on retina display!). A lot of hard work went into making this project possible. Thanks to everyone who took the time to contribute something. We hope you like it!
Soon, we are going to be posting all of the submissions that we could not include in the printed book due to space limitations. There is still more great art to be seen!
As of this past week, the pre-order period for the printed book has ended. There will still be a few more copies available in late-May, but we decided to close pre-orders because the amount received so far was starting to become unmanageable. We will make a post about it some time after we get back from TCAF next weekend.

How’ve you been? Things have been pretty busy on my end, but I think I can finally announce that “Molly and the Monster” will launch on May 1st! It’s so exciting! Here’s the excerpt from the back:

Molly’s day is already off to a rough start when a giant monster suddenly marches into her life.

Confronting the situation head-on, the two of them discover solutions to their own problems, and a newfound friendship.

The book is an all-ages comic book that’ll be available for purchase as a digital download or physical copy. If you’re going to be at TCAF, let me know! I plan on bringing books with me.

If you have any questions about the book or the process, give me a shout! I promise there won’t be any spoilers.
