Proceeds from the sale will go towards new exhibtions, printed projects and classroom materials for the gallery/workshop. I’ve said it before but Light Grey has been doing some amazing things to get people excited about illustrative art. It’s a great cause. So instead of doing THIS tomorrow to get some moderately discounted electronics or whatever, buy some cool art.
Just letting you know that I’ll be tabling at Otakuthon next weekend (August 16th - 18th) at Palais de Congrès here in Montreal. Look for me in the Artists Area, Table #360. It’s my first time tabling at such a large convention. I am screaming on the inside. Here’s a preview of some of the things I’ll be selling at my table.
I started cleaning up my Tumblr post archive in order to make it almost exclusively related to stuff I make or projects and things I am participating in. Everything else I find interesting or want to re-blog around the web will now be put on a separate blog here: justinwwoolikes.tumblr.com/
Here’s a tiny preview of a thing I’ve been working on for fun.
(In role-playing games I almost always choose this class, favoring stealth and skill over brute strength)
Light Grey Art Lab is an amazing art gallery located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They are known for curating some really creatively-themed art shows throughout the year. I always wanted to participate in one of their gallery shows and this one looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun!
Hi everyone! As we get closer to New Leaf, here on the Animal Crosszine blog we are going to start posting all of the submissions we received that didn’t make it into the final printed zine. There is still a ton of content that needs to be seen!
As for the zine itself, if you pre-ordered a copy they are going out this weekend and during the following week. Once those are all sent, I’ll check the inventory of remaining books and put the link back up on the shop. You can still get a nice digital copy of the zine HERE.
In the meantime, please enjoy some more amazing AC art under the cut!
Animal Crosszine is a collaborative fanzine and love letter to the Animal Crossing video game series published by Nintendo. It contains over 70 pages of comics, stories and fan art by 38 different writers and…
WHOA. This week, my friend and Animal Crosszine co-editor, Meghan Lands, sent me some stickers she made and boy are they RAD!!! They feature a trio of Animal Teens ( from an upcoming project of hers that I know little about, but I’m super excited for!) rocking out and generally not giving an eff. They look super profesh, lovingly packaged with a lino cut label she made and everything.
If you want some, you can grab them at her online shop here. Also check out the rest of her store for some super affordable and lovely art to help her fund some of her upcoming comics. Support great art and a great artist!
At this moment, we are officially closing the submission period for the zine! I want to say THANK YOU times a million to everyone that took the time to make something and send it in. We received a lot of entries and it has been a real joy to go through them all. If we’ve learned…
There are five days left until the extended deadline! Huge thanks to everyone who submitted something! We’ve received a lot of GREAT entries so far and I can tell you it will be really hard to choose a final line-up.
My friend Mike has been hard at work trying to get his comic, Molly and the Monster, ready for TCAF. Mike is super awesome at what he does and is an all-around nice guy. I made some fan art at lunch today to celebrate him being nearly done! Congrats, Mike! (I’m sorry if my drawing is a little off-model).
Just wanted to give you all an update on the status of the zine! Response has been really lovely and we’ve gotten in some really nice submissions so far! Some of you have been worried about not making the March 15th deadline, so hopefully we can ease your minds a bit by…
We have extended the deadline by another two weeks! Go! Go! Go!
Check out the Kickstarter page to help raise money for Steve Black Jr.’s (of the Pokemon Podcast) second Pokemon theme art show, Battle City. I participated in last year’s show, 649 Monsters, with a Zorua piece which you can also see on the Kickstarter page itself.
Attention fans of Animal Crossing! We are looking for your submissions for our Animal Crossing fanzine. Tentatitively titled Animal Crosszine, it will be comprised of comics, stories and fan art celebrating Animal Crossing!
